Four Things Friday

Happy Friday, everyone! This has seemed like an incredibly long week, so I’m super pumped about the weekend. My best friends and I are hosting a bridal shower for our good friend, Caroline. It’ll be outside on a patio, and I can’t wait to share photos and details with you next week! It’s been a long row planning it, but I think it’s going to turn out superbly.

What are your big plans for the weekend? Make sure to check out these things I’m loving from around the Web!

1. How genius are these thrift store plate mirrors? They look like they’d be so easy to do!

2. This is such an easy way to decorate the walls in your kitchen or dining room.

3. I want to frame a series of these Women’s Wear Daily sketches by famous designers. They’d be beautiful in a bedroom or bathroom.

4. I’m not one for camping, but I think this would be a fun place to spend the weekend. It’s glamorous and comfortable.

Do You Know What An Etagere is?

I’ve always seen etageres (pronounced “ay-ta-zheer”) in beautiful living rooms and dining rooms and always assumed they were your run-of-the-mill shelves. I was so wrong!

These shelves are actually beautiful pieces of furniture that could stand on their own without anything displayed on them. As the name suggests, they are French and were designed to be light pieces of furniture that displayed small items or trinkets.

They are so glam and provide such a great place to display your mementos from travels or favorite family photos. They come in pairs and look especially great on either side of a large sofa or console area.

Four Things Friday

I hope y’all have had a great week! I’m off to my favorite state, South Carolina, to visit some old college friends and attend a dear friend’s wedding. I’m also hoping to stop by my favorite junk shop while I’m there!

Here are a few of my favorite things from around the Web this week…

1. I’ve had several people ask me how to distress furniture. I’ve never actually done it myself, so I think I’m going to follow this tutorial some time.

2. Lilly Pulitzer is my favorite clothing designer. Her prints are amazing and so timeless. That being said, I’m dying to try this out to make my own Lilly Pulitzer-printed wine glasses!

3. One of my best friends is expecting her first baby (a girl…yay!) in August, so I’ve been obsessed with finding images of beautiful nurseries. Babble.com compiled a list of the top 20 most extravagant nurseries. I’m in love!

4. I want my dining room chairs to be just like these below. So fun and unexpected!
