Lusting After Carrara Marble

I’ve noticed a trend among the images of kitchens and bathrooms I’ve saved over the years: they all somehow involve carrara marble countertops. Quarried in Tuscany, this marble is the ultimate in luxury!

Unfortunately, carrara marble is pretty expensive ($60-$80 per square foot) and not in this nifty thrifty girl’s budget! It ages really well and holds up to messes and scratches, so I think it would be worth the price down the road. Ahhh, a girl can dream!
